Canada Day in Olds AB

Tornado touches down near Didsbury, Olds, and Carstairs.

This headline of the day limited Girl Crush to only one of the two sets planned for the celebrations in Olds. The crowd scurried as alerts of the weather system hit cell phones. Environment and Climate Change Canada said the twister tore a path of destruction Saturday afternoon between the towns of Carstairs and Didsbury. We were all okay. But not everyone was as lucky. If you missed it, here's a link to a video you won't want to miss.

The band finished off a magnificant three-night stint at the world famous Ranchman's Cookhouse & Dancehall April 6/7/8 with a few big bangs! We were once again blessed to have the musical talents of Graham Ross join us on steel guitar for the shows. The talented Georgie officially joins Sandra and Yvonne up front on vocals and acoustic guitar. As they say on The Voice, our team is FULL!

Girl Crush welcomed Calgary-based recording artist Georgie Lyons to the band's vocal lineup while performing at the Stage Bar (Grey Eagle Casino) during two epic nights, February 24th and 25th. Will we be seeing (and hearing) more from Georgie? You're going to have to stay tuned to find out!
